This was the first store built in Lone Jack, Missouri.  It was located east of
the Crossroad on the south side of the road, what is now Bynum and
Lone Jack Lee’s Summit road.  Beattie ran the store for three years with
Reuben Fulkerson as Clerk.  It was sold to James Findley who ran it until
1846.  The Tate family then bought the store.
